Pepea Australia: Applications Open with 40% Scholarship

The County Government of Elgeyo Marakwet has announced that it is now receiving applications for individuals interested to be part of their Pepea program.

An update on the county’s official Facebook page indicates that the applications are for students that will study in Australia.

Sharing a poster of the available opportunity, the Governor Wisely Rotich-led administration further said it had negotiated for a 40 per cent scholarship to eligible students.

PEPEA AUSTRALIA…APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN. 40% SCHOLARSHIP AVAILABLE FOR ELIGIBLE STUDENTS,” read a post on the county’s Facebook page.

The program is a partnership between the County Government of Elgeyo Marakwet and CIC Higher Education – a Melbourne-based globally recognized educational institution.

Pepea Program is Governor Rotich’s flagship initiative that seeks to secure opportunities for youth to study and work abroad.

The current opportunities are for students to study either a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a Master of Business.

Some of the specializations available for an MBA include Accounting (CPA Accredited), Project Management as well as Biotechnology among others.

Master of Business, Graduate Certificate of Business and Graduate Diploma in Business, as well as Bachelor of Business, are other courses open for applications.

To qualify to apply for the Pepea Australia, one must have at least a grade of B plain in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination.

The application is open until June 30, 2023.

How to apply for the Pepea Australia program

Applications should be addressed to The Programme Coordinator Elgeyo Marakwet County P.O Box 220-30700, Iten.

The application can also be sent via email to pepea@elgyomarakwet.go.ke.

Further, an applicant must attach copies of academic certificates and a National Identity Card (ID) or passport.
