West Pokot Governor Simon Kachapin on October 21, 2022, held a meeting with the Kisii University management team led by its Vice Chancellor Dr Francis Nyarombe.
The meeting discussed among others the revival of the Kisii University campus at Keringet.
Further, the discussions centred on revamping the facility which had been run down in the past to ensure admission of students can start in 6 months’ time.
The Governor flanked by his deputy Robert Komolle, promised to support the university management to fulfil its obligations and see the school succeed.
County Executive Committee Member (CECM) of Education Rebecca Kide and Prof. Edmon Were (COD PASS), Dr Caleb Akuku, Bishop Dr Malema in charge of Marketing and Dr Shadrack Kibor (Academic programme) coordinator from Kisii University and Education Department staff were present.
